Those events include 1992 Loa Angeles Riots, Northridge Earthquake in the year 1994, and the 1986 Los Angeles Central Library Fire. She had been re-designated as weekend anchor in 1985, and she started anchoring the 6 pm evening newscast aired weekly of KABC-TV. She also anchored the 11 pm and 5 pm newscast of the station. Laura then signed with KCBS-TV in the month of September 2002. She earned several awards and accolades during her career so far. It was in May 2012 that Laura joined the FOX Los Angeles, and has been working with the station till now.
