Travis Kalanick is an American businessman who happens to be the co-founder of SCOUR ( a multimedia Internet search engine) which provide Scour Exchange (a peer to peer file sharing system). He was also the co-founder of RED SWOOSH (a peer to peer content delivery system) and UBER (A transportation network). However, he resigned from UBER in 2017 on ethical grounds. RED SWOOSH got incorporated in Akamai Technologies in the year 2007. However, Travis remains one of the major stakeholders in the company UBER Inc.

In 2009, Travis Kalanick joined Garatte Camp in founding UBER. It is said that the original idea of UBER belongs to Travis. However, due to some controversies and damage to the company, Kalanick was asked to resign from the CEO position. However, he still remains as one of the Board of Directors.
