Miranda comes from a good lineage her grandfather Max Raison was a cricketer. Additionally she also was the niece of the famous politician Timothy Raison.
She did not have the best of childhood because her parents divorced when she was just five years old. She had to shuttle and move between boarding schools because she did not have the right persons to take care of her. She married Raza Jaffrey in 2007 after having met him on sets during 2005. However, her marriage ended in divorce in December 2009 and she cited estrangement as the reason for the breakup. She used to drink quite a bit but gave it up because of her failing health.

She started her professional acting in 1999 when she acted in a Theater Play The Man Who Came to Dinner. It was the same year she also debuted in the small screen in the film Suzy Q, directed by Martin Koolhoven. Her first film incidentally also was released in 1999 Heartbeat.
Since then she has acted in a number of films both on the big screen and also in the small screen. The list is quite big and almost all of them are in the small screen. It would be pertinent to mention here that her first lead role in a film came only in the year 2017 and the name of the movie is My Daughter Is Missing. She is donning the role of a woman by the name Sara. It also is known by an alternative title Missing In Europe.
It would also be pertinent to mention here that she also appeared alongside her husband Raza Jaffrey in a music video by the name Never The First. The music video was produced by her brother’s band by the name The Lost Levels.
