Marc Blucas was born in the State of Pennsylvania in the city of Butler. His mother is called Mary Catherine and she was educator and his father was called Walter Joseph Blucas and he is a school superintendent. The parents have divorced. When he moved to Pennsylvania, in the city of Girard, he started to play for Girard High School basketball and he was a star player. He was also playing basketball in Wake Forest University where he graduated in 1994 and he played a season while playing in the same court as Tim Duncan. He was among the members of fraternity of Sigma Phi Epsilon. When he was not able to join, according to his biography, he decided to go to England and he played basketball professionally there where he joined British Basketball League and he was playing in Manchester Giants. However, the wanted to be a lawyer but he changed his mind and went to acting.
The first role Marc Blucas had was in Inflammable and it was made in the year 1995. After that, he was in many movies and tv shows. He was a Basketball Hero called Gary Ross in Pleasantville. He finally got a major role in the year 1999 when he played as the Agent Riley Finn in the movie Buffy The Vampire Slayer. At first, he was sure that he did not do well with the audition but the creator Joss Whedon called him and asked him to audition once again and he got the role. He was playing the love interest of Buffy up to 2000. When he stopped to act in the series, he continued to act and was in the Summer Catch film, in We Were soldiers together with Chris Klein and Mel Gibson. He was also in the First daughter together with Katie Holmes. The character he had in Summer Catch, it was based on the real life of the Cape League Baseball player called Michael Macone. In the year 2007, he got the leading roles in The Killing Floor and Thr3e. In the year 2010, he joined the cast for True Blue which was a television drama pilot of ABC. He was a regular for the Necessary Roughness of USA network in the first two seasons and he was playing as Mathew Donnell.
