Lisa Michelle Bonet, popularly known as Lisa Bonet, was born on November 16, 1967 at San Francisco, California, United States. Her parents are Allene and Arlene Bonnet. Allene Bonet, her father is of African-American origin while her mother Arlene is a Jew. Lisa Bonet attended Reseda High School, Reseda, California for her studies. Later, Lisa did her majors in acting from Celluloid Actor’s Studio in North Hollywood.

Lisa Bonet started her career by participating in beauty pageants and appearances for some guest roles on television series’ as a child. Bonet’s career reached a turning point, when she was offered the role, ‘Denise Huxtable Kendall,’ on ‘The Cosby Show’ along with actors like Bill Cosby and Phylicia Rashad. In the year 1987, Lisa left, ‘The Cosby Show’ to star in the series, ‘A Different World,’ which focused on Denise Huxtable's college life. In the same year, Bonet, at that time aged 19; accepted the role of a 17 year old girl, ‘Epiphany Proudfoot’ in the movie, ‘Angel Heart,’ directed by Alan Parker, opposite to actor Mickey Rourke. In the film, Lisa shared several intimate scenes with Rourke, which needed some editing to ensure passing censorship filters. Lisa also shot topless for a center-spread in the Interview magazine. Due to her pregnancy in the year 1988, during the shooting of, ‘A Different World,’ Bonet had to leave the series temporarily. The next year, Lisa Bonet returned to, ‘The Cosby Show,’ but was removed in the year 1991, because of some differences creeping up with the creators.
After ‘The Cosby Show,’ Lisa started to accept jobs on video releases made for television movies. In the year 1998, she did a supporting role in the movie, ‘Enemy of the State;’ costarred by Will Smith. In the year 2000, she appeared in the movie, ‘High Fidelity.’ In the year 2003, she played the role, ‘Queenie’ in the movie, ‘Biker Boyz,’ along with Kadeem Hardison.
Lisa Bonet also costarred in the 2006 movie, ‘Whitepaddy,’ with actors like Hill Harper, Debra Wilson amongst others. Two years later, in 2008, she appeared in the American adaptation of the British television series, ‘Life on Mars.’
In the year 1987, Lisa Bonet married singer Lenny Kravitz in Las Vegas, Nevada. She gave birth to her daughter Zoë Isabella on December 1, 1988. However her relationship with Kravitz was not a long one and after sometime, Lisa Bonet decided to call off their relationship and the couple separated in 1993.
In the year 1995, Bonet legally changed her name to ‘Lilakoi Moon,’ but she continues to use the name Lisa Bonet professionally.
In the year 2005, she fell in a relationship with actor Jason Momoa. The couple solemnized their marriage in the year 2007. On July 23, 2007, Bonet gave birth to her second child, Lola Iolani Momoa; her first child with Jason. On December 15, 2008, second of her two kids with her husband Jason, a son named Nakoa Wolf Manakauapo Namakaeha Momoa.
Although much is not clear about her assets, but it is estimated that Lisa Bonet has a net worth of about a whopping $ 16 million.
