Liam Payne is a British singer who began his career with the most sought-after boy band ‘One Direction’. He went solo in 2016; his song was on the 3rd position on UK Singles Chart and 10th on U.S. Billboard Hot 100. Personal Life

Liam Payne was born to Karen and Geoff Payne on August 29, 1993, in Wolverhampton, England. He grew up along with his sisters Ruth and Nicola. When Payne was in school, he got involved in running. The aspiring athlete enrolled in the Wolverhampton and Bilston Athletics Club to chase his dream of becoming a part of the U.S Olympic team.

His dream of becoming an Olympic runner was put on hold as he was put on the reserve list for London Olympics 2012. After this, he didn’t try out for Olympics and claimed he was bored of running and wanted to pursue a career in singing. Payne went on to study at Wolverhampton College to learn music technology. Before his days in the limelight, he had sung at the Wolverhampton Wanderers football match.

In 2010, Payne dated Danielle Clare Peazer, a dancer, whom he got close to while on the sets of X Factor. The relationship lasted for two years, they resolved their differences and got back together again but that did not last long. In 2016, he started going out with the famous singer Cheryl Cole with whom he had a baby boy in 2017. Career

Liam Payne came into the spotlight when he auditioned for The X Factor U.K, in 2008.Even though he was selected for the second round, he was eliminated at the Boot Camp, Simon Cowell who was one of the judges decided to give him another chance but he failed to impress, Simon ask Payne to not lose heart and audition again.

Payne auditioned for The X Factor again in 2010. Here again, he did not pass the judges houses, there were four other boys in his same condition. The five boys who stood disheartened at their failure in qualifying for the Boy’s Category did not realize that it would become the turning point in his lives! Nicole Scherzinger who came on as a guest-judge felt that individually each of them were immensely talented and suggested that they form a band and enter into the Group Category, for which they qualified and won the 3rd place on the show.

Five strangers began their journey together as members of ‘One Direction’ which become one of U.K’s most celebrated boy bands. They released five albums since the starting of the band, all of which went on to be placed as number 1 on Billboard 200. Payne turned a music producer under the name ‘Big Payno’ and later created Hampton Music Limited. Payne is one of the directors of One Mode Productions Limited. In 2017, he released 3 songs as the single lead, Strip that down, Gets Low, Bedroom Floor. He released For You, featuring Rita Ora in 2018.
