Josh Rutledge

Born on 21st April 1989, Joshua is a professional infielder in Boston Red Sox of Major League Baseball. He plays as baseball infielder in the team. Joshua was also part of Colorado Rockies, before joining Boston Red. He also had played in state championship and won, when he was in high school.

Joshua is son of Tony and Cheryl Rutledge. His birth place is Cullman, Alabama. His Elder brother use to play for Cullman High School baseball team and also won state championship. In 2013, on November 30th Joshua married Laura Mckeeman. He completed his education from University of Alabama.

Career

 Being selected in the third round of draft in the year 2010, Joshua signed Colorado Rockies on 25th June 2010. In his first season, he played 11 games over all for Tri-city Dust Devils and had batting average of .128 along with 4 RBIs. He later on played for Modesto Nuts and in the season made 9 home runs with 71 RBIs and average batting score of .348. He was named Player of the week, two times. Joshua joined Tulsa Drillers in third season in the year 2012 and hit .308 with 35 RBIs and 13 home runs.

 In 2012, Troy Tulowitzki got injured and Joshua was called in as his replacement. On 13th July 2012, he played his first major league game. Overall, in this season he had batting average of .274 and hit 8 home runs and 37 RBIs. He got injury in quadriceps in the last game. After coming back from injury in the year 2014, he started to play in more infield positions.

In 2014 December, Jairo Diaz was traded for him to Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. The performance of Joshua was not too good. He lost second battle with remaining player and was sent back to Triple-A teams. He played entire season with Triple A team and hit .286 with 34 RBIs and 6 home runs. He played 81 games n this season.

 In 2015, Joshua was traded again for Shane Victorino and $3.8 million in cash to Boston Red Sox. Joshua was placed in 15 days disablement list due to a knee injury. The leaves were extended to 60. On 2016 November, went with free agency, when he declined the assignment to Triple A. He then signed with Colorado Rockies for minor league.

In December 2016, he was 25th pick of rule 5 draft. The Red Sox from Colorado Rockies selected Joshua. Joshua has stolen 20 bases and hit 20 home runs with batting average of .262 and has scored 102 runs throughout in 2016.
