Josh Brolin was born in the year 1968 on February 12th in Santa Monica, California. He grew up as the only son of James Brolin and Jane Cameron. His father was a renowned actor and his mother was a wildlife activist. As a child, he was very fascinated by his father’s career as he was always on the television. He always wanted to become an actor like him. When he was only three years old, he moved to Templeton, California with his family.
He used to go with his father to the film sets and was very fascinated by the camera and the lights. He attended one of the best high schools in the town. When he was only 16 years old, his parents got divorced leading to an extra marital affair of his father. His father got married to Barbra Streisand in the year 1998. He stayed with his father after his parents got divorced.
He was not at all interested in studies during his teenage years and wanted to get into the acting career. His father wanted him to complete his studies first. He participated in many cultural events and dramas for which he has also secured a number of awards but his grades worsened. He was dropped out before completing his graduation from the high school and started doing theatres.
In the year 1985, he started his television career. His first appearance was in the film The Groonies where he imparted a notable role. Next, he appeared in the television series 21 Jump Street with Johnny Depp. He also made a popular guest appearance in the next season. He appeared in his second film Thrashin’, after which he made several theatre stage appearances. He made appearances in the roles of villain from the late 2000 period.
Some of these films are Milk, Wall Street : Money Never Sleeps, Planet Terror, American Gangster which earned him a lot of popularity. After earning huge popularity, he made appearance in the biopic of George W. Bush, W. His role was very impressive in the biopic, Milk which earned him the nomination for being the Best Supporting Actor. He also got an Oscar nomination and has received the NBR and NYFCC awards for his major roles.
Some of Josh’s other major appearances are in the film Gangster Squad, Guardians of the Galaxy, Men in Black 3, X-Men, Batman v Superman : Dawn of Justice, Gangster Squad, Avengers, Deadpool 2, Avengers : Age of Ultron, Avengers : Infinity War. He always had a fantasy towards DC comics and appearing in these films was nothing but a dream come true for him.
He also wrote several scripts and produced some films like A People’s History of the United States, The People Speak and many more. He was first married to Alice Adair in the year 1988 but they separated in the year 1994. He also has two children from this marriage. Next, he got married to Diane Lane in the year 2004 but due to some conflicts they ended their marriage in the year 2013. He tied the knot with Kathryn Boyd in the year 2016 and till now there is no news of their separation or divorce.
