Jim Parsons was born in the year 1973 on March 24th. He remained in Houston, Texas during her early childhood years. He used to stay in the northern suburban area, known as Spring of Houston, with his family. Both his parents Judy Ann and Milton Joseph were teachers so he was brought up in a strict disciplinary culture. He had a younger sister and no other siblings. He had a very close bond with his sister and spent most of his time playing with her. He went to the Klein Oak High School which was one of the best schools in the region. His parents had a lot of expectation from him and always wanted him to achieve a high level in the academic field.
But as a child, he was more interested in dramatic arts than in academics. He used to spend his off-periods in the school in the drama club. His parents did not want to allow him to the drama club as they thought it might divert him from the studies. Seeing his constant dedication towards drama, his teacher requested his parents to allow him to the drama club. As a child, he played many roles in renowned productions and had a fancy idea to appear in the television series for children. He appeared in many roles in the drama programmes of his school.
However, his parents did not want to allow him to go for any career without pursuing university education. He joined the University of Houston to pursue the bachelor's degree. During this time, he joined a theatre group and appeared in seventeen major plays in the time span of three years.
After completing his bachelor's degree, he launched a production house known as Infernal Bridegroom Productions. His main aim was to set up an effective theatre group. He made regular appearances in Stages Repertory Theatre. Suddenly, he wanted to do a major course in the theatre studies so he took an admission in the year 1999, from the University of San Diego. He took the training for two years and the director, Rick Seer was very much impressed by his performance in the university.
After completing his education, he started working with the Off-Broadway Production house. While working here, he made several television appearances. He made a major role in the television series Judging Army and Ed. Along with that, he also made a number of minor appearances in many of the films. The Big Bang Theory was a turning point in his life where he played the role of Sheldon Cooper. He himself was very impressed with his role in the film. The news regarding his personal life has confirmed the fact that he is a gay and shares a marital bond with Todd Spiewak, a famous film director.
