Erin Krakow is known as an American television actress that has become very successful in the years of her entertainment career with her hard work and impressive acting skills.

Background

The beautiful actress Erin Elisa Krakow was born on September 5, 1984 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Erin was lucky that her family moved from the cold conditions of Philly to the warm and humid climate for Florida. She had many great experiences living in Wellington, in Florida.

Krakow completed her high school graduation from the Dreyfoos School of Arts which is located in the city of West Palm Beach. She went on to study drama at the Juilliard School, which is a very prestigious and famous performance arts school in New York City. Living in New York solidified Erin’s acting career because she was exposed to many parts of the process such as meeting other actors and producers.

Erin has become an actress who is very well known for her outstanding acting skills and on screen presence but she wasn’t always at her peak. She started to perform in small drama bits and had a few challenging and interesting roles. In her initial acting career, she played roles in films like “The Importance of Being Earnest”’ and the stage play, “George the Fourth”. She was also in the popular drama known as the “Steel Magnolias”.

In a candid and personal interview with My Devotional Thoughts, Erin shared her story about what made her want to become an actress. When she was asked what your main inspiration for acting was, Erin said, “I was pretty young. My mom said that it was when my brother was born. I had been an only child for five years, and then I found out I would have to share the attention. And so that meant that I would either act out or be a bit of a ham at home.”

It was obvious to Erin’s mother that she had an energetic daughter that was full of expression and life. She needed to find a way to encourage her daughter to tap into her natural talent. Erin was grateful to have her mom support her dreams, “I also began participating in school plays. And it just developed from there. I guess I didn’t start taking it very seriously until high school. In eighth grade, I moved to a performing arts high school–it was called Alexander W. Dreyfoos Jr. School of the Arts.”

Getting into the performing arts school was a turning point for Erin because she now saw it as a concrete goal for her. She was growing up and her passion was growing right along with her, “I was very lucky that this incredible performing arts school was pretty much in my backyard. It was an incredible foundation for me. Up to that point, I had taken plenty of acting classes and gone to acting camps, but this was an experience that allowed me to obviously get the core curriculum one gets in high school, but I got to participate in school plays and musicals. They have an incredible theater there with some outstanding teachers who I still consider to be essential in my development and education and career. So that’s where my foundation is and how things go started for me.”

Acting Career

The most important time in her career as an actress was from 2010 to 2012. She played a very prominent role during this period of time. She played the role of Tanya Gabriel, who was portrayed as a specialist in the television drama series known as “Lifetime”. The first big opportunity that Erin Elisa Krakow got was when she casted in the lead role of a drama series known as “When Calls the Heart”. The name of the character she played in this television series was Elizabeth Thatcher. The series, “When Calls the Heart” was broadcasted on the Hallmark Channel

After her big role on the Hallmark Channel, she started to get more auditions. Another drama series for Erin Krakow was when she impressively played the role of a medical expert from Afghanistan. In ‘Army Wives’, she played a role as Tanya Gabriel in a few episodes of the series which were on air from 2010 to 2012.  In 2013, she acted in the role of Julie Rogers on the popular TV series “Castle”. Her character appeared in the episode named “Recoil”. She also played the role of Samantha Hart in the series known as “Chance at Romance”.

She played a character named Christie Reynolds in the television movie named “A Cookie Cutter Christmas” in 2014. She also played the role of Emily Moore in an episode named “Citadel” on the famous show, “NCIS: Los Angeles”. She played the character named Maureen in “Good Girls Revolt” in the episode named “The Folo”.

In 2016, she played the role of Miranda Chester in the television film named “Finding Father Christmas”. She has been adding many credits to her resume through the years. She has had a mix of leading roles and guest roles in her career. She likes to do the guest roles because they are quick and not too demanding on her schedule. They also give her a chance to meet a lot of people in the industry and to see what she likes and doesn’t like about working with certain people.

Personal Life

Krakow in not yet married but her would be husband is her co-actor, Daniel Lissing who she has been dating for a long time. The beautiful young actress has no children because she wants to wait until her career is completely stable before she starts a family. She does not want to get tied up in a tug of war between her family life and career.

 Her present net worth is 3 million dollars that she has built from her acting career. She knows that she is not a huge actress yet but she is humble enough to keep on working on her craft until she reaches the top.
