Dweezil Zappa

Ian Donald Calvin Euclid Zappa, popularly known as Dweezil Zappa, came to life on September 5th 1969. Dweezil is his nickname and he later on adopted his nickname as his first name as he liked it very much. He is a musician, a rock band artist, guitarist and an actor by profession. Zappa was born to the parents Gail Zappa and Frank Zappa in Los Angeles, California, United States. He has got 3 siblings and his cousin sister ‘Lala Sloatman’ is an actress herself by profession. Both his parents were musicians by profession and this had a great impact on Dweezil from his childhood. He started playing instruments and performing at a very young age. He used to perform in his father’s band and still continues to be associated with the band. Dweezil has remained in news for his relationships in the past. He has had many affairs and has married more than once in the past. He was in a relationship with a musician named ‘Lisa Loeb since 1998. They appeared together in many musical performances as well. According to his biography, Dweezil started performing at his father’s band and later on joined MTV as a VJ. However his stay with MTV was not very great and he was fired from the job because of some controversy where he spoke something against the channel on a talk show. Post MTV, Dweezil started working on his albums and he produced many solo albums after that. He came out with his debut album named ‘My Mother Is a Space Cadet"/"Crunchy Water’ in 1982. His discography includes around 7 solo albums. He also worked in coordination with other artists and came up with albums with them. His work was appreciated across the albums he worked on. Dweezil also acted in certain movies like ‘Pretty in Pink’, ‘The Running Man’ and others. He played very small roles in these movies. He has also worked in different TV shows across the channels. Apart from his albums and solo work, Zappa has appeared in some guest appearances in various shows, concerts and TV recordings.

Dweezil has also been associated with social work and he has supported certain charities in the past like ‘White Knot for Equality’ which works for LGBT people getting equal rights and against their violation of rights.
