Dwayne Johnson was born in the year 1972 on May 2nd. He was brought up in the place Hayward of California. He was the only child of the famous wrestler Rocky Johnson and Ata Johnson. He had a wrestling ancestry as both his grandparents belonged to the wrestling profession. His grandfather Peter Maivia was the High Chief of the national wrestling agency and was also a very talented wrestler. His grandmother Lia Maivia was no less talented in comparison to his grandfather.
When his grandfather passed away, his grandmother took the responsibility to carry on the Polynesian Pacific Pro Wrestling till the year 1988. He has received a mixed culture while growing up as both his parents were from different cultural background. As a child, he has received the inspiration of wrestling from his father. His father is a very renowned wrestler who is known worldwide for his wrestling talents.
His father has also secured the position of champion in the World Tag Team Championship. He lived with his family in the suburban region of New Zealand in a place named as Grey Lynn. He went to the Richmond Road Primary School in Auckland. After some years, he had to go back to his parents in the United States. Though he wanted to stay back in his grandmother’s house, his parents took him away with them to provide him with better livelihood facilities.
He was sent to the President William McKinley High School in Honululu. He joined the school when he was in the 10th grade. He got into several cocurricular activities in his school and was greatly interested in football. He joined the football team of his school and wanted to become a footballer. Though he had an interest towards football, his father wanted him to become a wrestler like him in the future.
After completing his graduation, he joined the wrestling club to take the wrestling training. He also used to take regular training from his father. Besides, he also carried on with his university education. He took an admission in the Miami University where he studied physiology and criminology to finally achieve the degree of Bachelor of General Studies in the year 1995. As he still had some time to show up as a wrestler, he joined the Canadian Football League in the same year.
In the year 1996, he made his first appearance in the WWF in the combined named of his father and grandfather, Rocky Maivia. As both the names were very well-known to the audience, he decided to take up this name. He played in the Survivor Series in an eight man elimination tag match where he eliminated Goldust and Crush. In the next year, he suffered from a major knee injury in the International Championship. He has also received the name The Blue Chipper from the audience for his incredible performance. He has earned a lot of fame and also holds a high net worth.
