Cynthia McFadden is a television journalist of American citizenship. She works now as a senior legal and also investigative correspondent for the NBC News. She worked like an anchor and correspondent for the ABC News while she co-anchored the Nightline sometime and afterwards, she appeared at the ABC News Special for Primetime. She was at the ABC News since 1994 until 2014. She joined the NBC News in the March of 2014.

From her biography, she was born in the city of Lewiston in Maine and graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa in the Bowdoin College in the city of Brunswick in Maine in the year 1978. After sometime, she received the Juris Doctorate degree of California in the Columbia Law School in the New York City of 1984.

Since 1984 until 1991, she was executive producer for Media and Society Seminars of Fred Friendly which is based in the Columbia. Many of them were broadcasted at PBS and then joined Courtroom Television Network where she was the anchor and the producer in the year 1991 for its inaugural year. After working in the place for many years, she joined the ABC News in the year 1994 and she is a legal correspondent of the network and covered many subjects including the O.J Simpson trial.

Cynthia McFadden started to work as Primetime anchor in the year 2004 and she had substituted Ted Koppel before on many occasions at Nightline together with Terry Moran and Martin Bashir. While being an anchor, she had conducted many significant interviews and they include these with the celebrities like Paul McCartney and Clint Eastwood. She also conducted the interviews with Hillary Clinton when she was the Secretary of the State, Tony Blair and Pervez Musharraf. In 2014, she moved from the ABC News after two decades working there and joined the NBC News.
