Kasie S. Hunt was born on May 24, 1985 in Wayne, Pennsylvania. Her parents are Bruce Hunt and Krista Hunt. She holds an American nationality. She also has a younger sister Carly. Her sister was a well-known golfer for such teams like Georgetown Hoyas and Maryland Terrapins. She studied at the Conestoga High School and graduated in the 2003. Afterwards, she enrolled in the George Washington University. She received her Bachelor degree in international affairs in the 2006. She continued her education and gained her master's degree in sociology from the St John's College, Cambridge.

Her broadcast career started at the NBC channel, where she served as intern. She has made her debut in journalism career since the 2007, right after her College.
