According to his biography, Benedict Cumberbatch was born in London in the year 1976. He is a British Screen actor and he is known for the role he had. He had appeared in other films of Hollywood like The hobbit: the Desolation of Smaug, Star Trek: Into the Darkness and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.

When he was at Harrow, he started by showing the interest into Painting and rugby. However, theater ended up capturing his imagination. When he was under Martin Tyrell mentorship, he had the first role which was in the A Midsummer’s Night Dream and in the Queen of the Faeries. He spent one year while teaching English in the city of Tibet and afterwards, he returned to live in England where he studied drama. This was at the University of Manchester. When he graduated, he spent over a year in London Academy where he did Music and dramatic Art.
Benedict Cumberbatch started the career in the roles of classic plays and on small television shows. It was in the year 2004 and he was portraying Stephen Hawking coping with the early stage for the motor neuron disease. This is the performance that got him the BAFTA nomination. The first film was in the year 2006 and it was in College comedy named Starter for 10. After a year, he was in the film named Atonement and then he played opposite to Tom Hardy in a TV movie called Stuart: A Life Backwards.
Benedict Cumberbatch’s career took off when BBC decided to air modern adaptation to Sherlock Holmes. This won the widespread praise and it led him to the stardom. He was playing like the sidekick of Holmes, named Dr Watson.
For his personal life Benedict Cumberbatch dated Olivia Poulet for many years but they decided to split in the year 2011. The two met at the University of Manchester. He got married to his wife, Sophie Hunter in the year 2015. They have one child Christopher Carlton. Benedict Cumberbatch is among the distant relative to Richard III of England.
