Alex Steele was born on July 3rd, 1995 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She is a 21-year-old Canadian actress best known for portraying Angela Jeremiah in the first five seasons of ‘Degrassi: The Next Generation’ and Tori Santamaria in the series' eleventh and twelfth seasons.

Her father is of a Canadian descent and her mother emigrated from the Philippines to Canada in 1982 with her parents and seven siblings. Alex is the younger sister of Cassie Steele, who portrayed Manny Santos in the first nine seasons of ‘Degrassi: The Next Generation’.
