Afton Smith was born on December 3, 1967 in Northport, Long Island, New York. She grew up in Northport, near of New York City. She attended a local elementary and high school in Los Angeles. There is no information about her education after that.

She was quite popular as an actress in small and big screen of 90s. She first appeared in the movie “Less Than Zero” as Kim in the 1987. The movie was a novel adaptation by Bret Easton Ellis, so it was a great experience for Afton. Then she takes a part in the comedy movie “Pyrates” with role of Marti in the 1991. In the same year she was involved in drama film “Fried Green Tomatoes”. Another Afton’s project was a movie “Reality Bites” directed and starred by Ben Stiller in the 1994, where she played Janine. The next year she played Becky in the movie “A Reason to Believe”. The last movie in her acting career was a comedy “George of the Jungle”, where she appeared with the role of Ursula's Friend along with her future husband Brendan Fraser. The wedding ceremony was in Bel Air Hotel in Los Angeles. They had divorced in the 2007, after more than nine years of marriage. Afton and her ex-husband have three children together. Their first son Griffin Arthur Fraser was born on September 17, 2002. Afton’s second son Holden Fletcher was born on August of 2006 and the younger boy Leland Francis on May of 2006. All of the kids were born with a two year difference. After the divorce she was in a legal dispute with Brendan for child support payments and alimony. She also said that her ex-husband was hiding his finances in order to reduce the amount. By some sources Brendan Fraser has to take a big part of his total net worth of fifty million dollars to pay Afton the alimentation. Afton’s total net worth is not disclosed by any source till now. She resides in Los Angeles and it seems like she is currently single.
