Abby Wambach was born in Rochester, New York and her early childhood was spent in Pittsford which is a suburb of Rochester. She is the youngest and has seven siblings older to her made up of two sisters and four brothers. Her father is Pete Wambach and her mother is Judy Wambach. She started playing soccer at an early age of four just because her sister wanted to play it.
