Tom Hulce was born in Detroit and was raised in Plymouth in Michigan. He was born to Joanna and Raymond Albert Hulce, who was employed by Ford Motors. His birth sign is Sagittarius. Thomas Edward Hulce has English, German and Irish ancestry. He wanted to become a Singer but ended up in Acting. His career kick-started while he worked in Ann Arbor as ticket seller.

Career

He directed Sleep around Town which is an Off-Broadway musical at Playwrights Horizon. Hulce retired in mid 1990's from acting to concentrate on stage directing and producing. He directed The Cider House Rules, a play based on a Novel (1985). He portrayed it on stage incredibly well and received positive feedback from all around. It was an 8 hour production play.

Tom Hulce's television movie credits would be, Murder in Mississippi (1990) and Forget Me Not Lane (1975). Tom Hulce's film credits - Frankenstein (1994), The Heidi Chronicles and Wings of Courage in 1995, Those Lips, Those Eyes (1980), Echo Park (1985), Shadowman and Dominick and Eugene in 1988.
