Sophie Raworth

Sophie Raworth was born in 1968 and she is a journalist and a newsreader in England. She works under BBC. She is a main presenter at BBC News at one and she presents it on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. She also appears at the BBC News at Six and at the BBC News at Ten. She was born in Surrey, her mother was a florist and her father was a businessman.  She was brought up in the Twickenham in South West London and she attended the independent school of Putney High School and the St Paul’s Girls School.  When she completed the degree in German and French, she spent some time in teaching English for the teenagers in Toulouse, afterwards she studied the postgraduate course in the journalism and broadcasting.

Sophie Raworth joined BBC in the year 1992 and she was the news reporter. First, she was for Greater Manchester Radio and then for the bbc regions correspondent in Brussels by April 1994. During May 1995, she was a regular joint presenter at the Look North of BBC program in the Leeds. Raworth had moved to the National television in the year 1997 and she co-presented the Breakfast News Program at the BBC One.  This was called Justin Webb in the later years under John Nicolson. Raworth had then joined the early morning news program at BBC Breakfast when it was launched in the year 2000 and she presented together with Jeremy Bowen from Monday to Thursday. Afterwards, she moved to the BBC six O’ clock News by the year 2003. This was presented by George Alagiah. Sophie Raworth worked as the presenter of the bulletin up to 2005 and stopped when it went to Natasha Kaplinsky.  By the year 2006, Raworth had been named to be the main presenter for BBC News At one where she was to replace Anna Ford. She took the position up in the 2006 when she was coming from the maternity leave.

According to her bio, Sophie Raworth married an old friend Richard Winter who is estate agent. He proposed to her when they were at the Amalfi Coast. The couple has now two daughters Ella Rose and Georgia Grace with their son, Oliver. According to the information she posts on her twitter, she said that she has learnt how to say no now.  When someone listens to the latest list of the achievement, there are few evidences that this may be true.  She was able to accomplish two marathons in the eight days and now she is about to be on the front peak coverage for RHS.

Sometime, Sophie Raworth is called super woman since she is a great company and self deprecating like a person who is not able to take care of herself. There was a time she said that she had to read more than 61 novels, she was training for Marathon, she was working and she had to take care of her kids. This is in addition of being online for most time such as on the flickr.  She is not complaining but she thanks God because she is able to do everything.
