Scarlett Johansson is a famous American actress and singer. She is also known for her immense beauty among her co-workers.


Scarlett Johansson was born in the year 1984 on November 22. She had spent her childhood years in the New York City, in Manhattan. Her paternal and maternal family backgrounds were filled with architects and actors. As a child, she had received Polish, Swedish and Jewish culture as both her parents belonged to the mixed cultures. She has four siblings, an elder sister and an elder brother and also a twin brother.

She also holds two citizenships of Danish and American. She went to the elementary school in the Manhattan with her siblings. When she was only thirteen years old, her parents got separated. She had to stay with her grandmother after her parents got divorced. She had developed a good relationship bond with her grandmother as she used to spend most of her time with her grandmother. Her grandmother was a school teacher and she treated her grandmother as her best friend.

As she was very beautiful from a young age, she wanted herself to be under the spotlight always. When she was only five years old, she used to practice acting in front of the mirror. When she was only ten years old, she was enrolled to the Lee Starsberg Theatre. She made her first stage appearance in the play Sophistry. Though she was given only two lines but it was her first achievement in the path.

Later, she went to the Professional Children's School where she used to take training in a private institution as a child actor. After that, she made her comedy film debut in the film ‘North’ where she played the role of John Ritter’s daughter. She made this debut in the year 1994. She used to enjoy the atmosphere of spending her time in the film sets and her conversation with the actors. Her acting was so impressive in the film that she was offered two more major roles in the movie Lucy Fell where she played the character of an art student and in the thriller mystery Just Cause where she was given the character of the daughter of Kate Capshaw and Sean Connery.

From the year 1996, she professionally started her acting career. She was given the first leading role in the film ‘Amanda’ where she was casted as the younger sister of a teenager who was pregnant. She had received a lot of positive reviews for her incredible acting talent. She had also received the nomination for the Independent Spirit Award for Best Lead Female.

She also appeared for some minor roles in the films The Horse Whisperer and many more. She has also received many awards for her minor supporting roles also. In the year 2003, she appeared in the romantic film Girl with a Pearl Earring and Lostin Transition. She had received several nominations for her lead role in these two films. She has even secured a BAFTA award for her major role in the film Lost in Transition.
