Pete Holmes

Pete Holmes (full name Peter Benedict Holmes ) was born on March 30, 1979 in Lexington, Massachusetts. He studied at the Lexington High School. Later he continued his education at the Gordon College in Wenham, Massachusetts. During his college years he participated in an improvisational comedy troupe. Pete started his career as a stand-up comedian.


Later he moved on television. He has made his TV debut on Comedy Central's Premium Blend. He also was a regular guest for “All Access”. Soon after this, Pete’s cartoons have appeared in The New Yorker.In addition to his regular comedian appearances, he also was involved in several special episodes for Late Night with Jimmy Fallon show and John Oliver's New York Stand Up Show. He also voiced the character from “Scott Batman Presents” in the 2007.

In the 2010 he made his own very first special a the Comedy Central Presents. He also tried himself as a voice actor for the cartoon “Ugly Americans”. He is known to be a screenwriter for several TV series, including “Outsourced” and “I Hate My Teenage Daughter”. He also created and stars in the HBO series, Crashing. Pete wrote the pilot episode of the show and also helped to renew the series for a second season.

Since 2011 he has hosted a podcast distributed through the Nerdist network, which was titled “You Made It Weird”. During these six years, there were a lot of famous guests like Dana Carvey, T. J. Miller, Sarah Silverman, Chris Hardwick, Jimmy Pardo and Anthony Jeselnik.

In addition to his work on television, he also launched a YouTube channel, it was focused around skits alongside Matthew McCarthy called “front page films”. He also is a successful musician and till now released three albums: “Impregnated With Wonder”, “Nice Try, The Devil” and “The Extended Play E.P.”. In the 2012 she also released three episodes of his own talk show “The Pete Holmes Show”. He also has made his appearances in numerous telemarketers, movies and TV shows like “Premium Blend”, “The Jeselnik Offensive”, “American Dad!”, “Maron” and “Mulaney”.

In the 2016 he voiced the Patrick character from “Animals”. In the same year he also launched a stand up special episode “Pete Holmes: Faces and Sounds”. Since 2017 he works with “Crashing”, where he served as a writer and executive producer,being a creator at the same time.

He married for the first time, when he was 22 years old and six years after, the couple got to divorce. It seems like he is single now.
