Monica Calhoun (full name Lorine Monica P. Calhoun) was born on July 29, 1971 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Her mother is Lorine W. Calhoun. Her family moved to Los Angeles, California, when she was a child. She attended the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts and graduated in the 1989.

She started her professional acting career at the end of the 80s. In the 1987 she appeared in the Bagdad Cafe” with a role of Phyllis. In the 1993 she played in several films like “Jack the Bear”, “Younger and Younger” and “Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit”. In the 1997 she was involved with a short film “Damn Whitey”.
