Pamela Silva

Pamela Silva Conde is a 34 years old Peruvian American journalist and a co-anchor of Primer Impacto – a weekday newsmagazine of the Univision Network. In the United States, this is currently one of the highest rated programs as well as in 12 other Latin American countries. She was born on the 16th of August back in 1981 in Lima, the capital of Peru. She is of Hispanic American ethnicity and despite her young age she has won the Emmy award six times.


Early life and education

As far as her education goes, Pamela graduated from the Florida International University with honors. She got her degree in the field of Broadcast Journalism and she managed to achieve another impressive accomplishment – the Bilingual Communications certificate issued from the University of St. Thomas. Back in 2012 she got her master’s degree in Business Administration from the International University of Florida.

She is also one of the members of the Board of Directors of the Futuro Program which is known as a non-profitable organization which is designated to provide a variety of educational services to students from Hispanic American ethnicity during their high school years. She is also a member of other different organizations such as the Steering Committee which is formed to the Florida International University and it relates to the School of Journalism as well as Mass Communication.

 Professional career

Her professional career kicked off early back in 2003 and she was a public affairs coordinator as well as a producer for the local community affairs show called “Miami Ahora” in the Network of Univision. She also worked on other shows as a guest reporter. Interestingly enough she used to be a professional cheerleader for the team of the Miami Dolphins. She took part in other shows, but never in TV shows, such as the Escandalo TV, Despierta America, El Gordo y La Flaca and many more.

Back in 2005 she joined the news team of Univision in Miami and she was occupying the position of an entertainment anchor and a reporter. However, this didn’t last long as she shortly afterwards became a substitute news anchor and got named as a leading anchor soon after this. She led the morning newscast called Noticias 23 Al Amanecer in South Florida and she presented the news every single day. It’s also worth mentioning that apart from being a lead anchor she has also worked on some investigative reports and she occupied the position of a national correspondent for the newsmagazine known as Aqui y Ahora and she works with it up to date.

Personal Life and Recognition

It’s safe to say that Pamela has received some of the most prestigious awards for her job as a professional news anchor. She is a six time Emmy award winner. However, as far as her personal life goes – she leads a happy married life in Miami with her husband Cesar Conde.
