Natascha Mcelhone

Natascha Mcelhone (born Natascha Abigail Taylor) was born on December 14, 1969 in Surrey, England to Noreen and Mike Taylor. She was raised by her mother and father in law Roy Greenslade, they both were journalist. She lives with parents in Brighton along with her brother Damon and two step brothers Alexander and Nicholas. She attended St. Mar’s Hall School in Brighton. From 6 years Natasha had taken lesson in Irish Dancing. After she graduated from school she studied in Academy of Music and Dramatic Art in London and graduated in the 1993.


Natasha began her acting career from theater and opted for her mother’s Maiden name McElhone as her performance name. At first she appeared in ample of stage shows with secondary roles. She appeared at the Open Air theatre in Regent’s Park by performing in plays “Richard III” and “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” and at the Haymarket Theatre, Leicester she also performed in the “Count of Monte Christo” and “The Cherry Orchard”.

Natasha begin her on-camera career in the earlier 90s, she played in TV series “The Ruth Rendell”. She appeared on TV in the 1991 for BBC’s Bergerac. Then she played in episode of “Absolutely Famous” in the1992. In the1996 she appeared with a small role in “Surviving Picasso”. She got her breakthrough role in the movie “The Truman Show” along with Jim Carrey playing the role of character Lauren and real girl Sylvia. Her acting experience including movies like “The Devil’s Own”, “Ronin”, “Contaminated Men”, “Solaris”, “Ladies in Lavender”, “Big Nothing” and “Blessed”. She also was involved in TV series project “The Other Boleyn Girl” in the 2003 and “Revelations” in the 2005. Currently she plays in TV series “Californication” along with David Duchovny. She worked in this show since 2007. During her successful career she played opposite famous actors like Brad Pitt, Robert de Niro Jim Carrey and George Clooney. In 2014 she got back to the stage playing in “Fatal Attraction” as Alex Forrest in Theatre Royal Haymarket .

Natasha likes tattoos and she was seen on the show with an elegant wrist tattoo which has been loved by the audiences and many of them have copied it too. Natasha married in the 1998 to Dr. Martin Hirigoyen Kelly who was a plastic surgeon. With her husband she has three children Theodore, Otis and Rex Kelly. Their family lived in Fulham. On May of the 2008 Martin died because of dilated cardiomyopathy, it was ten years of their marriage with Natasha. Their last son Rex was born five months after the death of his father. Natasha gave an interview the year after the death of her husband and her grief could be well seen in her eyes. Natasha also published a book named “After You: Letters of Love”, to her husband and father, it was released in July 2010 which contained the letters written by her and her children. Her net worth is approximately 5 million dollars.
