Jeff Bridges

Winner of the "Oscar" and "Golden Globe" for best actor in the movie "Crazy Heart," the talented actor and musician Jeff Bridges, was born on December 4, 1949 in Los Angeles, California, USA in the family of a famous actor Lloyd Bridges.

Thanks to creative activity of his father, Jeff Bridges first appeared on TV screens at the age of 4 months, participating in the filming of the television series. At eight years old, he, along with his father, has starred in the television series «Sea hunt» and almost immediately afterwards with his brother Bo participated in the television show of his father.

Decided to continue the dynasty of his father, in spite of the existing experience of shooting and lessons learned from his father, he went to study acting craft at the Herbert Berghof Studio in New York.

It is believed that his first major career success was the role of the actor Duane Jackson in the movie "The Last Picture Show" (1971), for which he was first nominated for the "Oscar" for Best Supporting Actor. This gave a major boost to his career, and he began to get roles one after the other in the movies: "Fat City" (1972), "Bad Company" (1972), "Thunderbolt and Lightfoot" (1974), "King Kong" (1976) , "Tron" (1982), "Starman" (1984) and many others. For the film "Thunderbolt and Lightfoot" Jeff was nominated the second time for the "Oscar" for Best Supporting Actor.

However, the early stages of the career of Jeff Bridges were vilified by compromising articles in the tabloid press about his reckless behavior, frequent affairs and use of illicit drugs. Also, the movie "King Kong" in 1976 failed at the box office and was criticized.

Return to the notable successes can be considered a role in the movie "Starman" (1984), which brought his third nomination for "Oscar" and "Golden Globe" for Best Actor. Next he had roles in the movies: "Tucker: The Man and His Dream" (1988), "The Fabulous Baker boys" (1989), "The Fisher King" (1991), "Fearless" (1993), and dozens of other roles.

In 2001 released the film "The Contender", which brought him fourth nomination for "Oscar" for Best Actor. In the same year released “K-PAX” which got box office about 65 million dollars, where Jeff brilliantly played Dr. Mark Powel. This success reinforces him, and then he played in such famous movies as: "Iron Man" (2008) and "A Dog Year" (2008), for which he was nominated for the "Emmy".

The greatest success comes to Jeff Bridges in 2010, when he was awarded the "Oscar" for best actor in the movie "Crazy Heart". However, he did not stop starring, and after "Crazy Heart" he has been starred in five movies until today.

In 2000, he even released his own music album, "Be Here Soon", in August 16, 2011 he released his album "Jeff Bridges" and album “Sleeping Tapes” in 2015. In his most recent tweet, he mentions that his daughter Jessica also became involved in music and released her album "Let It Breathe".

Personal life Jeff Bridges has developed quite successfully. In spite of the stormy youth, he successfully married to his wife Susan Geston in 1977 and has lived with her for 35 years without a divorce. They have three daughters: Isabelle Annie, Jessica Lily, Hayley Roselouise and even a granddaughter Grace.
