Gerina Piller or Gerina Michelle Mendoza Piller was born on March 29, 1985, in Roswell, New Mexico. Gerina was raised and grew up in Mexico and has four siblings. The Pillers are American family and of Mexican-American ethnicity. The American sportsman’s height is 5 feet and 7 inches tall and weighs 67 kg. Gerina also has dark brown hair and brown eyes. Gerina credited her skills in golf to her parents who are her number 1 fans. Gerina said they have been supportive to her since day 1 of her career.

Gerina had her high school at the Goddard High School and completed her degree from the University of Texas. Gerina is known as a golfer, residing at Fort Worth, Texas.

Gerina is married to Martin Piller who is also a professional golfer. They both married in 2011. Mid 2018, the couple were blessed with a healthy baby boy whom they named Ajeo James “AJ” Piller. On the day she was about to deliver the baby, her husband was scheduled to compete in Round 1 for PGA Tour’s Zurich Classic in New Orleans.

With the Martin on the play, Gerina decided to call her parents, and they started their more than seven hours drive from New Mexico to Texas. Everyone was present when the young Piller came out at 9:51 pm on that same day, weighs 7 lbs.

 

Gerina’s Career

Gerina’s career started when she was 15 during her high school where New Mexico state golf Championship was won by her in 2013. Besides golf, she was also active in volleyball. Thus, she became the state volleyball player. In college, she won all the tournaments in her senior year hence, won the title UTEP Female Athlete of the Year, Player of the year, and 2007 Conference USA individual champion.

Gerina attempted to qualify for LPGA Tour or the Ladies Professional Golf Association. Gerina tried twice in 2007 and 2008 but was unsuccessful. Fortunately, in 2009, she earned conditional status on the LPGA for the 2010 Future Tour. Gerina played the entire season and finished fifth on the Future Tour money list. The golfer then received her playing privileges for the association for 2011 tour. Gerina finished 68th on the LPGA money list in 2012 and improved by the end of the same year making her the 48TH-placer.
