Eden Rebecca Sher was born on December 26, 1991 in Los Angeles, California. Her parents are a Jewish. She was raised by a single mother, who worked as a school teacher. She also has two brothers. She has been interested in acting since her early school years, when she was at the age of eight. At that time she started to participate in school plays, as well as in a local theater production. Additionally, she sang in her elementary school chorus. She seriously decided to become an actress after the tape of her school performances and appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.


She started her professional career in the early 2000s. Her first role was in the project “Stuck”, where she played one of the main characters - Caterpillar Girl. In the 2003 she got a guest role of Jane in the teen drama TV series “The O.C.”. In the 2006 she was involved in both “Weeds” as Gretchen and “Sons & Daughters” as Carrie Fenton. It was useful experience, because it was not just an episodic roles.

In the 2008 she played Cindy Marshall in the TV series “The Middleman”. The next year she appeared as a guest in “Party Down” and “Sonny with a Chance”. At the same time she got her breakthrough role of Sue Heck and becomes the main cast of the popular sitcom “The Middle”. She portrays the role of Sue till now. And even in the 2013 she was honored with Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her work in “The Middle”.

In the 2012 she played Billie in the “Pair of Kings”. She played a secondary role of Penny in the popular detective television series “Veronica Mars”. In the 2014 she also portrayed Claire character in the “Scotch Moses”.

In the 2015 she tried herself as a voice actress and was involved in with the role of Star Butterfly in the animated television series “Star vs. the Forces of Evil”. She has voiced Star Butterfly character till date. In the 2016 she played Amy in the movie “Temps”. In the same year she played in the film “Step Sisters” as Beth. Recently, she played Mindy in the teen comedy movie “The Outskirts”, which was directed by Peter Hutchings and will be released on April 14, 2017.

In addition to her acting career, she also is engaged with a voluntary work and fundraising activities for the benefit of the needy. Previously, she has been engaged with fundraising music event and charity shows.
