Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Danny Meyer is a sixty-year-old restaurant owner who is famously recognized as the CEO of a committee called the ‘Union Square Hospitality Group’.

Danny Meyer did his schooling from the John Burroughs School as he was born and brought up in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born on the 14th of March, 1958 which makes him sixty years of age as of today. Danny’s birth sign is Pisces and he is an American national who belongs to the white ethnicity. After his parents shifted to Wisconsin when Danny was only a kid, he attended the Camp Nebagamon School based in Lake Nebagamon, Wisconsin. A bright kid in school, Danny went on to get himself enrolled at the Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. He graduated in the year 1980 with a political science degree.

Danny Meyer is a married person who tied the knot with Audrey Rayelyn Heffernan way back in 1988 at the Unitarian Church of All Souls which is based in Manhattan. This interfaith wedding was censured by some of his fans but the fact that this marriage has lasted to date is a proof of Danny’s true love for his wife. Career

Passionate about food and cuisines, Danny Meyer opened his first restaurant called ‘Union Square Café’ when he was just 27 years of age. This was in 1985 and Danny’s business strategy of satisfying his customers worked well in his favor. There is a very long list of Danny Meyer’s personal restaurants and co-owned ones. Some of them include ‘Union Square Cafe’, ‘Blue Smoke’, ‘Gramercy Tavern’, ‘Shake Shack’, ‘Jazz Standard’, ‘Terrace 5’, ‘The Modern’, ‘Untitled’, ‘Gramercy Park Hotel’, ‘Marta’, ‘GreenRiver’, ‘North End Grill’, ‘Union Square Events’, ‘Porchlight’ and ‘Hospitality Quotient’.

This extensive list of restaurants and business that Danny owns in today’s date are a proof of his hard work and sacrifice towards what he loves to do. For this reason, Danny is arguably one of the richest restaurant owners with a net worth of $400 million.

Apart from his restaurants, Danny Meyer has several sources of income as well. He was invited to participate in a documentary titled ‘The Restaurateur’ which got released in 2010. Danny is also an active member of his community. He has served for the ‘City Harvest’ and ‘Share Our Strength’.

In addition to that, Danny has also served as a co-chair for five years of the Union Square Partnership. He has also been the executive committee member for the Madison Square Park and the NYC & Co. Danny is also an excellent author. One of his books is ‘The Union Square Café Cookbook’ which he co-wrote along with his business partner way back in 1994.
