Helen Lasichanh is a Miami based model and fashion designer best known for her unique fashion sense. However, she rose to countywide fame following her marriage with Grammy-winner songwriter and singer, Pharell Williams. Lasichanh has never failed to impress the fashion police with her distinct and high-standard styling at events such as Met Gala. Born with a Laotian-Ethiopian ethnicity, Helen Lasichanh opened her eyes for the first time on July 22, 1988, in Florida. She is an American national who attended the Miami Coral Park High School and graduated in 1998. For higher education, she went to St. Thomas University, Miami Gardens. During her college days, Lasichanh was an active player in the university volleyball team. In 2001, she won the very prestigious ‘Florida Sun Conference Player of the Year’.

Helen Lasichanh went on to pursue a career in fashion designing after completing graduation. She also tried to set her foot in the industry as a model and walked the ramp for a few modelling agencies too, but she could not really succeed in that field. However, looking at her fashion sense and unique outfits, she would have been a fantastic designer, only if she had a little more focus on her career. Even after becoming a mother of 4 children, Lasichanh has not given up on her career and currently, she is working on her new endeavours.
Personal Life
Helen and Pharrell started as friends as she was already committed to another man back then. She was very much into that relationship and did not even look at Pharrell twice. It was only after her break-up, she started looking at Pharrell differently and eventually Pharrell’s attempts at wooing her succeeded. The couple dated for five long years before getting engaged in 2013 at The Kampong National Tropics Botanical Garden in Coconut Grove. According to the couple, the best way to make every day like a sleepover is to marry your best friend. In 2008, the couple was blessed with a baby boy, named Rocket Williams, and in 2017 the couple bought home triplets.
Fun fact: Lasichanh is 2 inches taller than Pharrell; however, the couple looks good together. Pharrell once said, “It’s not just her killer looks that make me fell in love with her again and again, but her supportive and caring nature has to be given some credits too, or more”.
