Carson Palmer

Carson Palmer, born Carson Hilton Palmer on 27th December 1979 in Fresno, California, has been a U.S. football quarterback. He played in the National Football League (NFL) for 15 seasons. He was mainly associated with Arizona Cardinals and Cincinnati Bengals. However, he also played for Oakland Raiders. He played for He started playing football from his college days. He was awarded Heisman Trophy in the year 2002.


Personal Life

Carson Palmer was born to Dana Palmer and Bill Palmer in Fresno, California. He has two brothers and a sister. The brothers are named Jordan Palmer and Robert Palmer while her sister’s name is Jennifer Santos. Jordon also is a U.S. football player and is presently associated with Tennessee Titans.

Palmer had grown in size and strength even when he was studying in grade seventh. He had his father, Bill Palmer, who made him join Orange County where he was guided by the quarterback expert Bob Johnson. He attended Santa Margarita Catholic High School in Rancho Santa Margarita, California where he played football for the High School team. He played so brilliantly that even the University team members used to watch him on the field abandoning their practice. He was so successful at junior level that he got offers from Notre Dame, USC, Miami, Colorado, and even San Diego State. He joined the University of Southern California in the year 1998, and played football for the college, too.

He married Shaelyn Palmer on 5th July 2003. The wedding ceremony took place in Pebble Beach, California. They have together a twin: a son and a daughter. The son is named Fletch, and the daughter is Elle. He does not reveal much about his personal life. However, he continually posts pictures of his wife and children on social media platform Facebook. Thus, it can be safely surmised that he has been leading a peaceful married life, and enjoying every bit of it. Also, there is no rumour doing the rounds about any extra-marital affairs of either the husband or the wife. He has not divorced his wife.

Career

Since Palmer was very athletic from his very childhood, he started playing football since an early age. He played his school and college, too. It was on 23rd July 2003 that Palmer entered into a six years contract for $42.69 million with Cincinnati Bengals. In 2004, he was awarded the position of quarterback in the 2004 season. The Bengals ended that season 8-8. He played in rookie season during 2003. He first played in the National Football League (NFL) against New York Jets in 2004.

He had had a successful career during the 2005 season, and hence, the contract was monetarily upgraded to $118.75 million for a period of nine years. He continued his association with the Bengals up to the year 2010. Finally, he retired from professional football in 2010 itself. However, Oakland Riders re-drafted him in 2011. He joined Arizona Cardinals in 2013 and continues to play for them. As per his biography, his net worth is estimated at $110 million.
