Since the very childhood of Dagmar, she has been seeking to find her place in the field of entertainment. However, she enrolled in the British Columbia Institute of Technology after she made up her mind to choose the path of a journalist. In 1990, she graduated from the university, obtaining a degree in Broadcast Journalism.
After graduating from the university, Dagmar Midcap took a decision to move to the United States, where she settled in Akron, Ohio. There, she took a job at the regional WBNX-TV channel, and there she led programs on current affairs for 8 years – from 1990 up to 1998. However, after getting quite much work experience in the media field of the United States, she came back to Vancouver, where she was a weather anchor on the program Breakfast of the VTV channel.
Later, she moved on and took a job of a fill-in reporter at the Morning Show broadcasted by BCTV, a channel of the Global Television Network. Thereafter, she took a break from the live TV for a while and hosted a program called Crash Test Mommy; the program was broadcasted by the Life Network. In 2005, she returned to the BCTV, where she co-hosted the Driving Television program. The program implied making reviews about the novelties in the automotive industry, and Dagmar Midcap had to make test-drives of the new cars. This program has been exceptionally successful for her, since it was broadcasted nationwide.
In 2007, she got back to the United States where she took on a job of the weather anchor at the WGCL-TV’s Better Mornings, an affiliate of CBS. She achieved the position of the main meteorologist at the WGCL-TV in 2008, when she started to appear on TV in late afternoons and evenings. At the beginning of autumn in the year 2010, Dagmar Midcap left the station, explaining that it happened due to the huge physical and emotional distress.
In the midst of the autumn in the year 2011, she occupied a post of the weather anchor at the KNSD-TV channel, located in San Diego, California.
Apart from her main job as a meteorologist, Midcap has starred in an impressive number of movies and TV series. She got a recurring role in “Dark Angel”, an American science fiction TV series. Also, she appeared in such movies like “Twilight Zone”, “Touching Evil”, “Just Cause”, “Dead Zone”, “Stargate SG-1”, “Smallville”, “Air Bud: Seventh Inning Fetch”, and “Catwoman”.
In 2015, she kept being one of the leading weather anchors on the West Coast. Her net worth is, unfortunately, unavailable to the public.
Dagmar Midcap met her ex-boyfriend in 2007, and he was her neighbor then. However, he committed a suicide in 2009 that badly influenced Dagmar and that have perhaps led to her leave from the channel.
Dagmar Midcap is also known for her tough Raw Food Diet. Even though there was noticed no special trivia about her, Midcap is an active participator in various forums and social media. In particular, she has over 5.5 thousand of followers in Twitter, a noticeably fewer number in Instagram (where she posts photos of her dogs mostly), and over 25 thousand followers on Facebook.
