Countess Vaughn is a singer and actress of American nationality. She is well known for the role she had where she played as Kimberly Ann Parker for UPN sitcom called Moesha and also in its Spin-off called The Parkers.


Countess Vaughn was born in Oklahoma in the city of Idabel and her parents are Leo Vaughn and Sandra. She started to perform when she was 3 years while singing in her church and at nine years when she was singing, I’ll Be There so that she can win the Star Search Junior Vocalist Champion and for the overall junior champion. After such success, she became the cast for Alexandria DeWitt on its Fourth Season at NBC sitcom.

In the year 1990s, Vaughn was the guest star for Thea, Hangin’ with Mr Copper and also starred on Roc. In addition of television, she was also performed for off-Broadway musical known as Mama, I Want To Sing for its Part 3. She released the first album in the year 1992 and it featured different songs that include dance music with the R&B. The lead single on the album was a cover by James Brown titled It’s Man’s, Man’s, Man’s World and it was charted on the Billboard of top 100 in R&B and Hip-Hop Songs charts. The album sold only 3,000 copies. Vaughn was well known for his role in Moesha where she plays as Kimberly Ann Parker and she was in the role since 1996 until 1999. In the year 1998, she was given the role of NAACP Image Award for being the Outstanding Supporting Actress within the Comedy Series and in the performance she had with Moesha. She starred also sang the theme song for the spin-off show called The Parkers where she was opposite Mo’Nique. For the film career, she co-starred in Trippin and afterwards, she was the guest star for Let’s Stay Together and Cuts.

Countess Vaughn’s husband is called Joseph James and she had a son with him called Jaylin. In the Appearance at The Mo’Nique show and also on The Doctors, she said that she had already a daughter. On The Doctors, she said that she was suffering the hair loss because she was getting the reaction because of the glue that was being used on the wigs that she had to wear for long. She has also some discoloration of the skin in different places.

After sometime, Countess Vaughn was appearing on many reality shows and she was on the third season for Celebrity Fit club. She divorced her husband after 3 years of marriage. She is not too tall, she has the height of 1.49 meters and she is somehow overweight. However, this does not stop her to look good in everything she does. By 2015, her net worth was counted on 900 thousand dollars and the fans can follow her on her Instagram and twitter account.
