Ahmad Rashad was born on 19 November 1949 in Oregon, USA. He was born to a Muslim family that had moved from the middle east in search of better living conditions and its where he was later born. Since he was a little kid he wanted to be a footballer. He had started playing the game way before in his elementary school. He did his high schooling from Mount Tahoma High School in Washington. He has been a very decent student all through his education days as well.


He gave equal time to his studies as well as football. After his high school, he got a scholarship from the University of Oregon. The scholarship was for his footballing abilities and it helped him study at the university without paying any money. At his college, he started to play for the Ducks which was a college level football team. He completed his education as a major in sports in 1985. After his college he started looking for job opportunities s a player.

He started his career by playing s a wide receiver for his college in 1969. In 1971 he moved to the all-American team and started to play the same role as he did at college. A wide receiver is a football player that is present at the flanks and is a fast runner. His main objective is to get the ball past the line and make a touchdown. In 2007 he was named in the hall of fame for college students as his record was really impressive and worth the inclusion.

In 1972 he was added to the draft for auctioning as a professional player. He was signed by the St Louis Cardinals in his first season of NFL. The very next year he was transferred to the Buffalo Bills as his performance wasn't as good as the coach expected. He then left for the Seattle Seahawks for his third season in the NFL. He played well but couldn't match his form when he was in college. His career record is impressive 44 touchdowns that he did for his clubs in his professional career. He once took a very hard catch which was later termed as The Miracle Catch and has been in locked in the history books forever.

His professional career couldn't go any further due to some injuries and so he decided to retire from professional football. He started covering NFL and NBA games after his retirement and has now become a well-known reporter for NBC. There is not much known about his personal life. He is a married man and actually has been married on five occasions. His ex-wife was Sale Johnson who was a famous TV personality and a billionaire. His current wife is Ana Luz Rodrigues whom he married in 2016. He has a total of 10 children from his marriages. His proposal was accepted by his current wife when he did it in a public place. His net worth is estimated to be around $100 million.
