Zulay Henao was born on the 29th of May, 1979 in Medellín, Antioquia, Colombia. Her parents were happy to welcome their daughter. As to the siblings, she seems to have none of them. When she was a child, her family moved to New Jersey, United States of America. There she attended the local school and grew up an ordinary girl. During the formative years, she was a soldier for three years of the United States Army.

Besides, Zulay was interested in different arts and had a dream to become an actress in the future. Therefore, she took lessons of acting at the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts. She played some minor roles initially, and was not really noticed by the public. In 2007, she succeeded after taking part in an episode of Lifetime drama series “Army Wives”. Henao was also seen on “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”.
In the same year, she acted in such movies as “Illegal Tender” and “Feel the Noise”. The following year, she had the roles in the horror movie “Grizzly Park” and in a Lifetime Original Movie “Racing for Time”. At the age of thirty, Zulay had played the main character in the sports movie “Fighting”, where her partner was Channing Tatum. Besides, she was seen as Baelyn in the science fiction film “S. Darko”. Two years after, she performed in the independent psychological-thriller movie called “Boy Wonder”.
In 2013, Henao started appearing on the Oprah Winfrey Network sitcom “Love Thy Neighbor”. Only one season after, she left the show. In the year of 2014, Zulay played three roles of Nia Long, Wendi McLendon-Covey, and Amy Smart in “The Single Moms Club”. Later, she was seen in the similar movie “If Loving You Is Wrong”. Henao also starred as Vanessa del Rio in Thomas Mignone’s untitled biopic.
In addition, she took part in such movies and television shows as “Feel the Noise”, “The Heart Is a Hidden Camera”, “Grizzly Park”, “The Magnificent Cooly-T”, “Takers”, “Havana Heat”, “Hostel: Part III”, “White Space”, “Destined”, “True Memoirs of an International Assassin”, “Fear Itself”, “The Unusuals”, “Esperanza” and so on. Zulay is very enthusiastic and hardworking person. Due to her persistent work, her net worth is estimated to be nearly $1 Million dollars.
As to the personal life in her biography, she has not been married. She does not have a husband or children. In 2014, Henao began dating a model and actor Joel Rush. He is best known for appearing in the soap opera “Days of Our Lives” and the TV series “If Loving You is Wrong”. He also played the role of Sato in the hit TV show “Party Down”.
