Tika was born on 20 June 1980 and she was born in New York City in United States of America. The name of her father is Arthur Curtis Sumpter Senior and the name of her mother is Janice Acquista. There is not much information available about her parents but it is known that her parents got separated when she was young. It is also known that Tika’s mother was once arrested for non-payment of library’s fine and it was her ex-husband who bailed her out.

In 2011, she got herself a role in The Game. Same year she also got to work in Sparkle. Sparkle was known to be the remake of a film. Later she also worked in My Man is a loser and Tika also got a chance to work in The Haves and the Have Nots. In 2016, Tika got a chance to work in Southside with you and in the movie she played the role of Michelle Obama. It is known that the movie received a lot of good reviews from the critics and it was termed as Tika’s best performance. She worked in over 15 movies and over 8 TV shows during her career.
In 2016 it was reported that Tika gave birth to Ella Loren. Tika wasn’t married until then but the child was of Nicholas James. It is known that she had been in relationship with Nicholas for a long time and she was pregnant with his child in 2016. It is also known that the couple got engaged in 2017 and they plan to get married in 2017. In an interview, Nicholas revealed that he is planning to have more children with his wife as he love kids.
