Terry Gannon

Terry Gannon‘s full name is Terrance Patrick Terry and was born in the year 1963 in the city of Joliet in Illinois city. He is a sportscaster at Golf Channel and NBC Sports, now he is an announcer of figure skating and gold. His work had included different sporting events and they include Olympic Rowing, cycling, horse racing, auto racing, baseball, NBA, WNBA, Golf, figure skating, college football and college basketball.

Terry Gannon started with his career in basketball when he was at Joliet Catholic High School in Illinois and his father was a coach there. He was also a shortstop and a pitcher for its baseball team. He became All-Chicago selection in baseball and basketball. After his graduation in the year 1981, he started to play College Basketball in North Carolina State and he was the member of Cardiac Pack national championship winning team of Jim Valvano in the year 1983. In his career, he became a two times academic for all America and all time leading free throw shooter for NC State. He became Number One three point shooter in the entire nation. He went in Europe where he had a short basketball career and became a broadcaster when it was recommended by his coach called Jimmy V.

From his biography, Terry Gannon became the commentator of college basketball and since then he had announced for different sporting events at the network. His main task at ESPN/ABC was play-by-play at WNBA, ESPN and ABC coverage. He was also serving like a tower announcer and host of Golf at ESPN.

While at Wide World of Sports at ABC, he was in charge of Alpine skiing, supercross motorcycle races, ski jumping, Special Olympic, mountain biking and beach volleyball. In 2010, he joined the broadcast team of The Gold Channel. In 2010, Winter Olympics, Gannon was the daytime host at Universal Sports. In 2012, during Summer Olympics, he was called Kayak/Canoe and rowing.
