Regina Hall

Regina Hall, born on 12th December 1970, has been a U.S. comedian, and TV and film actress. She is particularly famous for playing the character Brenda Meeks in the film series “Scary Movie” from 2000 to 2006. Regina had been a major in English and nurtured the desire to become a journalist. She graduated in journalism, but she took up acting when she had been in the late twenties.


Regina has acted in a number of TV series including Ally McBeal in which she played recurring roles during 2001 and 2002. Other important films in which she appeared include Love & Basketball in 2000, The Best Man in 1999 and its sequel in 2013, Malibu’s Most Wanted in 2003, Vacation in 2015, About Last Night in 2014, Think Like a Man in 2012, and Girls Trip in 2017.

Personal Life

Regina took birth in Washington DC to her father Odie Hall and mother Ruby. Her father had been an electrician and contractor while her mother had been a teacher. She graduated from high school and then attended Fordham University in Bronx from where she did her graduation and obtained a degree in English in the year 1992. After that, she joined New York University and obtained a Master’s degree in the subject of Journalism in the year 1997. As per her own admission, she loved studying in schools and colleges.

Regina wished to pursue journalism as her career. She was shocked when her father expired suddenly of a heart attack when she was still studying. However, she finished her education and started her career in the tinsel world.

Regina has had several affairs and relationships so far. She is believed to be bisexual as she is reported to have dated women and men both. She dated her boyfriend named Damon Wayans. However, the relationship did not go much far, and they separated after one year of dating. She has also dated Sanaa Lathan for some time. However, she has not yet married and is single. Since she has not married anyone as yet, she has not divorced anyone.

Career

Regina started her career in the entertainment world by appearing in a TV commercial in the year 1997. Her career in television started formally when she got a role in the opera named Loving. She also appeared as a guest actress in some of the TV shows. She became famous for her role in the comedy entitled Scary Movie and its sequels. She played the character Brenda Meeks. Regina acted in the movie Law Abiding Citizens in the year 2009. She also wrote for a magazine named ABILITY in 2010.

She played the character Candace Hall in the film entitled Think Like a Man of Steve Harvey in the year 2012. Regina acted in a film entitled About Last Night in 2014 along with the co-star Kevin Hart. She acted in several films through the years between 2015 and 2018 such as People Place Things, Barbershop: The Next Cut, Girls Trip, and Support the Girls. She has won several awards during her career. As per her biography, Regina’s net worth is estimated at $2 million.
