Rashida Leh Jones , daughter of African American Quincy Jones and Ashkenazi Jewish Peggy ipton and an elder sister Kidada Jones, born on 25th February, 1976. She is aged 40 years. She is a native of Los Angeles, California, USA. She is often called rash or rashi by her beloved ones . Peggy informs Entertainment Tonight that Jones is an amazing singer and songwriter and is very talented and can play classical piano.

She was involved in performing Arts and Theatre at Buckley. Her parents got divorced while she was 14. She told a reporter that she practiced Hinduism in her early teens with her mother and has also visited ashrams in India. She attended Hebrew School, and was raised in Reform Judaism. The origin of her name is Arabic. She also studied Religion and Philosophy and got graduated from Harvard University in 1997. Her earlier times affair was linked to Tobby Maguire, to which she was engaged to but it did not work out later and was romantically linked with Mark Ronson.

At the end of 2009, she worked as Karen on Cult Classic TV Comedies in Freeks and Geeks (1999), Stella (2005), and The Office (2005). She is a Television and Film actress, Screenwriter, Comic book author, and Singer.

Her debut with the mini-series in 1997, The Last Don, based on the novel Mario Puzo, was a success. She worked as a part of television series The Office and parks and recreation.

Films she has acted in includes I love you Man, The Muppets, Idiot Brother and The Social Network. She is the creator and co-writer of the comic book series Frenemy of the state. She also co-wrote the screenplay for Celeste and Jesse forever, and she acted in the same !
