According to his biography, Patrick Swayze was born in the year 1952 on August 18 in Houston, Texas in the United States. He was born as the second child of his American parents. He grew up with his elder brother, two sisters and two younger brothers. Patrick and his siblings has received a Catholic upbringing from childhood, as his mother belonged from a Catholic background. He belonged from a upper middle class family ground. His mother worked as a dancer as well as a choreographer and his father was an engineer.

Patrick shared a very close bond with his five siblings. As a child, Patrick was very introvert and did not want to go out of the house. He even did not have any friends in school. He remained inattentive in the class and did not pay attention to the studies. Due to this reason, he had to change several schools. His parents remained very worried for him and thought that he is going through any kind of mental disorders or trauma. He was even taken to the psychiatrist to recover from the state.

Initially, he went to the St. Rose of Lima Catholic School. His siblings also went to this school along with him. Later, he also went to Black Middle School, Waltrip High School and Oak Forest Elementary School. He finally graduated from the Waltrip High School. When he was in middle school, he developed an interest towards dancing. He also joined the dance and music club of his school. He was very passionate about music and other cultural activities during his teenage which resulted to his passion for acting. Besides that, he also excelled in sports. He has even earned many trophies for his talent as a footballer. He could not go further with his football career as he came across a major knee injury. So he went further with acting and took it up as his career.

Patrick started his career from a role in movie Skatetown USA, in which he played the role of a dancer. His acting performance was appreciated and he became a overnight star in Hollywood industry. His some of the main movies include The outsiders, MASH,, dirty dancing and many more.

His major breakthrough came through the movie dirty dancing in which he played the role of Johny castle. His acting performance was very much appreciated and he became the heartthrob of girls all around the world. He also made guest appearance in Saturday night life, The Oprah Winfrey show and many more. His last role before his death was in the movie ‘The beast’ in which he played the role of an FBI agent. People all around the world watched that movie as it was his last movie.
