Olessa Stepanova was born on 24 January 1982 in the Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Her family moved to the USA when she was just 8 years old. She had problems settling in at a new place but she adjusted pretty well. In 1998 she moved again this time from Queens to Long Island. She was always interested in news as she had a cultural change around her and she watched the news on a regular basis since she didn't go out much.

Olessa Stepanova went to Plainview-Old Bethpage J.F.K secondary school. She completed her graduation in 2002 with a very good passing score. She got a scholarship to go to Long Island University to complete her higher studies. She took the opportunity and got a degree in Broadcast Journalism. Olessa graduated with unique excellence and got the respect of being an individual from the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society.
After completing her graduation she started looking for a job that would suit her better. She then started working for News12 Traffic and Weather as a movement journalist. She thought that was a good stepping stone for her career. She later joined the night broadcast at News Traffic Team and News12 Long Island where she was an on-air correspondent covering each of the five districts of New York City and Westchester.
After being a weather reporter for some time she wanted to get a better job and so she applied for it at other news channels. It was News12 that gave her the chance to be traffic and weather journalist. This channel had a very good fan base in the area and so Olessa got a good exposure at the channel. From that point, she moved to News12 Long Island, where Stepanova canvassed activity in the studio. She then took on to helicopters for her live traffic updates. She was at that time working at two channels namely NY1 and the News 12.
Olessa Stepanova went Boston from the CBS member in Hartford, Connecticut, WFSB-TV. She started she needed a change in her career and so she took this decision. She has filled in as a morning activity journalist on WFSB's Eyewitness 'News this Morning' for a long time. At this point, she was on top of her career and was doing well. Additionally, she was likewise a fill-in grapple and fill-in co have for 'Better Connecticut'. This show was about family values and showed different families in different shows.
Olessa Stepanova joined WCVB-TV on January 2014 as a movement journalist for NewsCenter 5's EyeOpener broadcasts. She is currently working at that channel and doing quite well at it. She works with Randy Price and Emily Riemer as well as the meteorologist Cindy Fitzgibbon. The show comes on the morning on the weekday.
Olessa was engaged in 2015 and got married to her husband Scot Haney in February 2016. Currently, she doesn't have any children but she is looking forward to having one. She has very good measurements and look very classy in the show. She has not revealed to the media about his total net worth.
