Marcin Gortat, born on 17th February 1984, has been a basketball player of Poland. He has been particularly famous for his association with Washington Wizards of National Basketball Association (NBA). He plays from the position of a center forward. Presently, he has been playing for Los Angeles Clippers of the NBA.

Personal Life
Marcin spent his early life in Lodz, Poland, where he was born. He is born to Alicja Gortat and Janusz Gortat. His father had been a boxer in Poland while his mother played volleyball. He has a sibling; an elder brother named Filip who has been a boxer. As for Marcin’s education, he did his graduation from Technical School at Lodz. Marcin can speak Polish, Serbian, German, and English fluently.
Marcin took part in football as well as track and field during his childhood. He participated in the high jump competition during his school days. He was very much influenced by his father who had been a boxer of repute. Career
Marcin played basketball from an early age. However, he played basketball professionally in 2007 when he joined Orlando Magic. It was on 20th November 2007, that he signed with Anaheim Arsenal of NBA Development League. He rejoined Magic on 2nd December, and played for it (Magic) on 1st March 2008. Marcin entered into an agreement with Dallas Mavericks on 8th July 2009 for 5 years and for $34 million. However, the agreement could not materialize, and he had to continue with Orlando Magic.
Marcin shifted to Phoenix Suns on 18th December 2010. He joined Washington Wizards in the year 2013, and played for the team for around a year. Then, he re-signed a contract for $60 million with Washington Wizards on 10th July 2014. He has been bestowed a number of rewards and awards during his career. Marcin was declared as the Eastern Conference Player of the Week on 28th December 2015 for the week ended December 21-27.
It was on 26th June 2018 that Marcin shifted to Los Angeles Clippers. He has been playing for them at the moment. Marcin had to suffer from knee injury during his basketball career. As per his biography, his net worth is unknown. His salary is estimated to be $12,000,000.
