She is known by her first nameLisaRaye, acing and modeling aren’t the only fields she is in; she is also a businesswoman and fashion designer too. LisaRaye was born to David Ray McCoy and Katie McCoy; her father was a businessman and mother was a model respectively. She is the single daughter of this couple; however, she has four elder half-sisters. The family was resident of south Chicago and thus, schooling of LisaRaye was completed in Chicago. She went for her schooling to Kenwood Academy and completed her graduation from Eastern Illinois University.
LisaRaye was married to Tony Martin in 1992, but the marriage didn’t last long as they eventually got divorced, in 1994. She then got hitched to Premier of the Turks and Caicos Islands; Michael Misick, they marriage was a grand event with 300 guests, in 2003. The couple had been to their honeymoon to Bali, Dubai and Jerusalem. LisaRaye was named as the first lady of Turks upon marrying Michael Misick! However, this marriage didn’t held true for long.
In 2008, Misick announced their divorce in a public statement. The career of Misick being, Premier of Turks, ended in 2009 as he was found guilty of raising funds for his own investments by selling lands which belonged to public. He had resigned from office and was found missing after revelation of his wrong doings. He was then caught and arrested in Brazil. LisaRaye has one daughter, named Kai Morae, from a relationship before marriage. KaiMorae is daughter of LisaRaye McCoy and Kenji Pace.
Career:
LisaRaye played a phenomenal role of Diana Armstrong in the movie, The Players Club, released in 1988. Her role in sitcom All of Us and Single Ladies; which was romantic and comedy series and also fetched her good fame and fan following. Her acting career started with a solo film Reasons, which was directed by Monty Ross. Other movies she acted were The Wood along with Omar Epps, All About You, and Go for Broke. She also appeared in various music albums, few of them being Know Filter 2, Download, Same Tempo, Last Chance, Never Be The Same Again and Number 1 Spot and many more. She also sang with the rapper Benzino for song ‘Would You’.
After her career in acting, LisaRaye started her model career in Chicago; she started with shows in high schools and churches in her native place. The year 2005 was lucky for her as she got registered for her fashion lines; she turned out to be a famous fashion designer with her two fashion lines. One being lingerie collection named Luxe&Romance and other being jeans "The LisaRaye Collection for women. She also started a hair line named LisaRaye Glamour, with all these fashion lines; she was established as a perfect fashion stylist and businesswoman. She was an Ambassador in the 70th parade for Magic City Classic.
