Laurie Walker Dhue was born on February 10, 1969 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She was raised in Atlanta, Georgia. Her parents are Hutton Dhue and Bob Dhue. Her father is known as a former vice president of wrestling operations for the World Championship Wrestling. She also has a sister Nancy Dhue Chu. She is a Protestant Christian. After her primary education, she attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science in the 1990. During her college time she also concentrated in dramatic arts.

Afterwards, she started as a weekend sunup newscaster on the WSB-TV in her native Atlanta. Or a several times she also was at the weekend edition of “Today” show for the NBC-TV channel. During the 1991-1999 she worked or different parts of the CNN. She made her appearances as an anchor for CNN Saturday, CNN Sunday as well as on the programs like “World View” and “The World Today”.
In the 1999 Laurie worked as an anchor of “Special Edition” show at the MSNBC. She also was a broadcaster for the show “News front”, until she moved to the Fox News Channel. With a new job she made a report for the TV show “Geraldo at Large” and also appeared as the host of the “Fox Report Weekend”. During that period she made her weekly appearance on the popular TV show "The O'Reilly Factor". Laurie mostly reported extensively news from the Middle East. She was tied to the Fox channel for eight years in a row and left in the 2008.
In the 2011 she enrolled with the WPIX –TV Morning News, being an anchor there. In the 2013 she became an anchor for The Blaze TV News. She left the Blaze Tv two years later on April 17, 2015.
Currently, she is known to be a successful business lady and usually performs public speaking at conventions, conferences well as a corporate event. During her 27-year career, she has interviewed countless international leaders as well as famous politicians, well known celebrities and news makers. In addition to her job on TV, she also worked with the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy. She is an active person in charity work and is a member of the Caron Foundation’s New York Advisory Board as well as the member of the National Youth Recovery Foundation.
She was married to Thomas Calcoate. Their life together was pretty short. The couple got to divorce in the 2000s. Laurie and her ex husband have no children together. Currently, she is engaged with Joe Schrank. She also seems to be focusing more on her career. Six years ago, in an interview, she admitted her alcohol addiction.
