Lauren Jackson was born in the year 1981 and she is Australian who was a professional basketball player. Her parents were also national basketball players. He was awarded the scholarship for Australian Institute of Sports in the year 1997 at the age of 16. She was the leader of the AIS side that got Women’s National Basketball League or WNBL championship. She joined Canberra Capitals in the year season of 1999 while she was turning 18. She was playing on and off in the team up to 2006. She won 4 WNBL championships. Since 2010 up to 2016, Jackson was playing in Canberra Capitals and continued to play with Women’s National Basketball Association.

She became the member of 2000 and 2004 Summer Olympics team while she was the captain of 2008 Summer Olympics team where they won three silver medals. Lauren Jackson was a member of an Australian team which won a bronze in 2012 Summer Olympics. She was the member of Australian Senior Women Team which got a silver medal in 2002 FIBA World Championship for Women that took place in China. She was the co-captain of a team which won gold medal in 2006 Commonwealth Games that took place in Melbourne and she was the captain for the team which won the gold for 2006 FIBA World Championship of Women based in Brazil.
From her biography, Lauren Jackson suffered many health issues. After the Olympics of 2008, she had to undergo surgery for her ankle. In the year 2009, she had two stress fractures in the back. In the year 2010, she got Achilles Injury and she sustained it when she played in Australia. Since 2011 until 2012, she had to undergo surgeries to help her with a hip and Achilles injuries.
