Kyra Sedgwick was born on August 19, 1965 in New York City, New York, United States to Patricia Rosenwald, a speech teacher and family therapist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick V, a venture capitalist. At the age of 16 Kyra Sedgwick appeared on the popular television soap opera Another World. It was her debut on the big screen in her biography and became a professional actress.
