She has also featured prominently on the ABC show Hope & Faith where she played the role of Faith. Apart from her acting, she is known for her show on television that she co-hosts. This show, titled Live! with Kelly and Michael is a syndicated show.

Early Life and Beginning of Career
Kelly Ripa was born as Kelly Maria Ripa in Stratford in New Jersey. Her birth date is October 2, 1970. Her parents were Esther and Joseph Ripa, her father being a bus driver. Her ethnicity is Italian-Irish and she believes in the Roman Catholic faith. She has a younger sister too, who is the author Linda Ripa.
She attended the Eastern Regional High School from which she graduated. While at school, she was a cheerleader. Her family had no experience with acting at all, but after seeing her in school shows on stage, her drama teacher encouraged her to try her hand at acting. Upon the teacher’s behest, she began to audition for roles and finally landed a role in a theater production of The Ugly Duckling. Soon after that, she dropped out of the psychology course she was pursuing at college and located to the Big Apple to try for better roles.

She began her TV career by being a participant on Dancin’ On Air and later Dance Party USA. In 1990, the much-cherished role of Hayley Vaughan of All My Children fell into her lap, something that would continue for the next 12 years and give her an astounding level of popularity. Later she took over Kathie Lee Gifford’s duties as co-host of Live! and the show was rebranded to be called Live! with Kelly and Michael. She was to later win a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Talk Show for this performance in 2012.
Her next big tryst was with Hope & Faith, where she played Faith Fairfield. Along with Megan Fox, this show made her popular with a whole new set of audience.

Ripa has acted in the movie Marvin’s Room alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and Meryl Streep. She has also worked in an animated movie titled Fly Me to the Moon.

Kelly Ripa married Mark Consuelos, her co-actor on All My Children, in 1996. She renamed herself to be Kelly Maria Ripa Consuelos. They have three children together – two boys and one girl.
She is known for her svelte figure and model-like looks. Her weight 2014 was just 100 lbs. She attributes her weight loss to her penchant for a regular workout and fitness regimen. She also experiments with her looks a lot, such as appearing with pink hair when she was on Live!.
