Katheryn Tappen is a famous sportscaster from America. She is very popular in his professional career for her appearance in the Olympics as a host.

Katheryn Tappen was born in the year 1981 on April 9. She was born in New Jersey and was the only daughter of her parents. She belonged from a middle class family. Her parents could not provide her with a luxurious life but as she was the only child and had no other siblings, she was always taken much care. Her father was a news reporter and her mother was a singer.

Tappen always wanted to be a singer as she was a very good singer. She always got encouraged by her mother and also took music lessons from her. Besides these, she loved outdoor sports. She even played soccer and badminton from her childhood days. She was even chosen as the captain of the women’s soccer team in her school.

Her father was a badminton player and he used to coach her to play badminton. She even participated in some national level badminton tournaments and also secured many honours and certifications. Later she attended the Rutgers University to pursue her formal education. She studied journalism from the University to try further career opportunities as a sportscaster.

In the year 2009, she got married to Jay Leach. He is a popular NHL defenseman and the couple met through a common friend. They dated each other for three long years before tying the knot. But the relationship did not go further and the couple filed a divorce in the year 2015. It has been recorded that the main reason behind their divorce was a serious misunderstanding which went too further. This controversy affected Tuppen’s career for some time but she struggled through it and made way for the success in her career.

Katheryn Tappen initially started her career with the College Sports Television. She had vast knowledge about sports and media and also had the talents of a host. It was her knowledge which helped her to get the first job as a sportscaster. In this channel, she used to visit different colleges and institutions to host different sports event. She was always full of energy which made her more popular among her young followers. Soon she received many promotions in the channel.

She worked there for several years and then joined the New England Sports Network (NESN). She was offered the same position as the WJAR but the salary was higher than the previous one. She soon left the channel when she got an appointment letter from the NHL Tonight in the year 2011. She worked with the channel for quite a long time. She even held a very good position in the channel but after some years, she had to face a lot of harassment in the channel due the controversy of her divorce. Tappen had to leave the channel and joined the NBC. She has received many awards and certifications in her professional career. She is also the ambassador of the MARSOC Foundation.
