Joshua Jackson was born as Joshua Browning Carter Jackson on June 11th, 1978. He was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada. Joshua’s parents are John Carter and Fiona Jackson. Jackson has Irish and Texan ancestry. The actor has a younger sibling named Ashleigh. He spent his childhood shuttling between Vancouver and California. Joshua’s passion for acting began at an early age as his mother was working as a casting director.
The handsome actor attended the Ideal Mini School and Kitsilano Secondary School respectively. Since, Joshua had already set his mind towards becoming an actor, he soon joined acting lessons and took up lessons.
He debuted in 1991 in a small role in the movie Crooked Hearts. He later went on to appear in several small roles. Jackson’s first big role was when he starred as Pacey Witter on the drama series, Dawson’s Creek. Since then, he has acted in various movies and TV series. CAREER:
Jackson debuted in 1991 in the movie Crooked Hearts followed by which he appeared as Charlie in the Willie Wonka and the Chocolate factory musical. He soon joined the William Morris agency and was hired to act in the Mighty Ducks TV series. He played the role of Charlie, a vivacious and young Hockey player. Soon after, Joshua landed his first big role in the much acclaimed Dawson’s Creek series.
The famous actor has also acted in several movies such as The Skulls, Cruel Intentions etc. He also appeared in a small cameo in Ocean’s Eleven alongside Brad Pitt and George Clooney. The actor has also ventured into theatre and acted in a play titled “A life in a theatre” in London west end. Jackson has also appeared in the series Fringe which was a raging hit.
Jackson has also authored a story titled “Peter and the Machine”, in a comic trilogy book named Beyond the fringe. The book is a spinoff of the same series in which he starred.
