Biography

This Australian actor, dancer, and builder was born on the 20th of July 1992 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Jordan’s mother, Julie Rodrigues, is Malaysian while his father, Brian Rodrigues, is Latino. Jordan is the last of his parents’ three children and his brother is named Shaun while his sister is Rachel. Jordan was raised alongside his two siblings by his parents. Jordan is famous for his acting roles in Light as a Feather (2018), Lady Bird (2017), The Fosters (2013), Dance Academy (2010) and Home and Away (2008).

In October of 2003, Jordan made his debut appearance as Young Simba in The Lion King. It can be said that his talent made way for him as he had not been trained in acting at the time he applied for the audition of this role. Despite not been an expert, Jordan got one of the lead roles which he performed for more than two years.

For ten years afterward, he acquired training at Brent Street in jazz, ballet, hip hop, drama, and singing. In 2009, he got a lead role as Christian Reed in Dance Academy, a television series on ABC. He has also made appearances in Better Man (2013), Camp (2013), Hawaii Five-0 (2015), Breaking Through (2015), Faking It (2016), Dance Academy: The Movie (2017) and Bring It On: Worldwide Cheersmack (2017).

In 2009, following his role in Home and Away, Jordan got a TV Week Silver Logie nomination as Most Popular New Talent. Although he did not win the award, the nomination has added to his credit and commended his efforts in the industry. From 2014 till date, Jordan has repeatedly played the role of Mat in The Fosters, a family series on ABC.
